  Silicon Valley Soccer Academy Announces New Program


USL U23 ACADEMY TEAM SUMMER 2026:


SVSA is proud to announce the launch of its USL Academy Program, which will serve as a pathway between talented young amateur players and the club’s professional USL League Two squad, which will launch in 2027.
The program will provide a bridge for youth, college, and professional soccer by offering elite competition and meaningful exposure all while staying deeply connected to our local community.

•College players gain a true professional level summer experience

Summer
  2026 Inaugural Season Program Structure:

•The team will compete in the newly formed Northern California division of the USL-A league.

•The program will be led by Sporting Director Savio Carrijo and Head Coaches Paulo Reis & Joe Rousseau. 


•The season will run 6-7 weeks beginning with 
Tryouts/Evaluations the week of June 8th

•Training will be held 3x per week, likely Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 6:00-8:00pm in Palo Alto.

 
Program Dates:

•Tryout registration will begin immediately, with league registration following on a rolling basis through tryouts June 8-18. 

•Final training is planned for the week of July 27

 Eligibility

•Although labeled a U20 team, the USL-A program requires overage and younger players be included in the program pool.Therefore 


players in the following age groups are targeted and eligible for the program:  2006, 2007, 2005. 

Additionally, selected players fro2008-2010 will be eligible to tryout and participate
