Tryouts FAQ

When are tryouts?

You can view our full tryout schedule here:

Do I need to register my child prior to attending?

Yes, please! All new players must first register here:

Is there a fee to tryout?

No, there is no cost to tryout.

What does my child need to bring?

Please have your child bring cleats, shin guards, and a water bottle.

What should my child wear?

Please have your child wear a white t-shirt and dark shorts.

What do we do when we arrive at tryouts?

Please check-in at the table for your child’s birth year at least 15 minutes prior to their session. Your child will be given a number and will be escorted to his/her age group area.

Can I leave my child during the tryout sessions?

Yes, you may drop your child off after checking-in and can return at the end of the session.

Does my child need to attend all three sessions?

Attending all three sessions is not mandatory, however it is highly encouraged.

Once tryouts are over, what are the next steps?

Once tryouts have concluded, our coaches and DOCs will work together to find the appropriate team for your child. Our objective is to find a place for all players wanting to play with our club. Families will be contacted with team offers about a week after tryouts have concluded. Each player will have an acceptance deadline in which to register online. If that deadline is missed, your spot may be offered to another player.

If my child is currently playing for PASC/SVSA do I still need to register?

No, you do not need to register, but please still have your child check-in at their birth year table prior to each session. Returning players should wear their BLUE game jersey to all tryout sessions.

What if my child can not make it to any of the tryout sessions but still would like to tryout for SVSA?

In these rare occasions we will do our best to try and accommodate. Please reach out to with your concerns.

Does SVSA offer any financial assistance?
